Salamanders
Salamanders are another type of fire-associated creature, like Dragons and Wyverns , but obviously much different; salamanders tend to be quite small, lizard-like, four-legged, without wings, and without the ability to spit fire. They’re usually found near hearths, hot springs, or sources of fire. They’re also notably very fireproof, able to swim through lava. They tend to frequently hang around forges, and there have been more than a few times where weapons-making has been interrupted by a little salamander sneaking into a vat of molten metal when forge workers weren’t looking. Thus, they’re considered to be relatively benign pests.
