Common Tongue

The common tongue is spoken by most humanoid creatures in Ascondia, dialects changing from region to region, but it's core functionality remains the same. It's a rough, guttural language that is treated as a trade language, meaning that most people will choose to speak in their own native language than speak common.   The areas of Elos, Oscerilla, and Drokaro all share a similar dialect originating from the spread of the early travelers from northern Oscerilla many thousands of years ago.   Those of the halfling communities living on Midland, they have a dialect of common that more reflects their own lilt that their native language has. Most Elves choose not to speak common at all, stating that it is an insult to their tongue to speak such barbaric noises. Dwarves are known to fluently embrace as many languages as possible for it allows them to further trade with more species and cultures and that is a calculated win to them.
