The Kingdom of Sammania

The youngest of the Ascalon States

The Kingdom of Sammania was birthed out of a brutal and bloody conflict between an alliance of humans, a horde of goblinoids from the Darkhan Steppes, and a dwindling dwarven kingdom. At the end of the conflict known to history as "The Storm of Sorrows" the only remaining power in the region was a collection of human settlements that no longer had a common enemy. The man who would don the first Sammanian crown was Bohemond de Druville, a power-hungry strong man with a large enough fighting force to unite the surviving humans on the Sammanian peninsula. The Holy Princept in Farsolum sought to bring peace to the region and secure their western borders. So in the year 2,5010 AoA, the Princept travelled with his full entourage to bless and crown the new king.
