King Hector Desmond de Valence
The sovereign of Sammania since his ascension to the throne upon the death of his father in 2,980 AC. He is acclaimed as a competent ruler when he puts his mind to the role of governance. King Hector, however, is a lover of sport and violence. Those who seek to curry favour with the king, use his passion for battle and glory to their own advantage. Hector's favourite pastime is watching challenger's step up to face his Crucible, a deadly labyrinth beneath the city. The King always rewards those who entertain him, and those who make it through the King's Crucible are richly rewarded.
