Oil

While we know the idea that some healthy foods can be turned incredibly unhealthy by frying them in a deep layer of oil, on Terra eating fries or fried fish is something just some tourists and is provided only in some beach bars for prices no thinking Terran would pay. Oil in Terra is used for a few things: salads, pranks and - as a fuel for some types of transportation.

History & Usage

Everyday use

The kind of oil we're talking here - regular sunflower or olive oil - is commonly used by anyone in things like salads and to fry certain foods. The oil that is later repurposed, and magically turned into the useful kind by clearing it from bigger bits and infusing it with magic,  is the one that has been used and combined with salt and other herbs and materials.

Industrial Use

Terran mages and scientists have combined efforts to create an actual use for already used cooking oil.

For instance, it's the second most used fuel for cars, planes and helicopters, after the usual mixture of different gases, magic powder particles and tiny bits of electricity. It can also be used in the creation of special leather which is then made in to clothes an shoes with very high resistance to physical damage and are of high agility.
Added to sculptures the oil gives the extra shined finish that make them look l almost alive. If a glass is wiped with a cloth damped in this magically fixed oil, it gains the ability to see invisibility and it will become a bit more resistant to breaking. There are some modifications that can be added where in winter, if applied to the bottoms of shoes, the oil creates an anti-slippery film.
