Labyrinth of Mind

"I was simply trying to dig a hole in my garden to plant my new Sun Willow tree. Next thing I know - my shovel hits something hard and echo-y. I clear around the thing and this big eye carved in stone is just staring at me. Needless to say I took my sapling and dragged it in the house. It spooked me! Very much so!"

t was April of 2021 when Teoshii Foles tried planting her new tree in her garden only to discover the top of a stone tomb that had been under her plot through all the years she lived there. The woman describes that upon calming down with some ginger tea she actually came back out and tried clearing a bit more of the space around the thing - and upon uncovering some more carvings in the surface of the stone she started feeling cold, watched and her vision began blurring and playing tricks on her.

A team of professional tomb cleaners arrived later to finish what Teoshii started. What they discovered when they reached the bottom of the construction was 9m tall, perfectly circular dome, carved all the way around with images portraying strange beings performing what appears to be some sort of mummification ritual steps after which placing the body of the deceased in this same tomb. The following images puzzled the team as they showed the body standing upright and rays coming out of it. The next were several framed sections of various geometric figures arranged in a way suggesting an alphabet and some kind of message.

Entrance and inside

Many attempted to get inside to understand what the tomb looks like, what it contains and eventually - where and when it's from and who it belongs to. However finding an entrance was a challenge. It was solved when on a fullmoon a young member of the team decided to climb to the very top and lay down there to look at the sky. His phone's screen reflected the moon light in a way that illuminated the eye on the very top of the tomb and the boy fell through as it "blinked" and then opened again revealing a very dark drop down. 

The boy wasn't seen before the next fullmoon - attempts to even blow up the entire thing just to get him out resulted only in the individual who was about to do the action developing the same symptoms as Teoshii did: He got cold, his vision blurred, he started screaming that he wants something to "go away" and then he lost consciousness. He's currently in coma in a hospital on the other end of town.

The boy crawled out of the side of the dome where the geometric alphabet was - the framed panels lifted to let him out. He reported that it was a labyrinth. A madness. 

When he described all this to a psychologist, the specialist concluded that the inside of the tomb must be designed to be like a living being's brain: reacting by emitting defensive waves making anyone approaching with force sick and should anyone manage to go in - capturing them in a death trap of the things that make them afraid; potentially (and probably) - should the person stay for longer the rooms inside will shift to seem and feel bigger, darker, scarier. The real question now is: where is the mummified body that the carved pictures hint at being inside the tomb? And how to get to it to study it?

I think I only got out when I closed  my eyes and decided to feel the floor with my entire body. I grabbed onto one of those wall bumps. There was a screech, bright red light and then I felt air.
