Honorary Star

History

It begins even before Terra being inhabited by humans. Before them the planet was used as a breeding / creating and training ground for Star Soldiers.

Star Soldiers were beings that fought for the Celestial Royalty claiming different members' ownership over planets, galaxies and worlds. Both Star Soldiers and Celestial Royalty were / and still are/ a type of extra-planetary sentient being formed from gemstones and /or precious and semi-precious metals that can be found in space. The Royalties are Diamonds - being supreme to all and with many contradicting personalities which is what created huge fights between them and each one's desires and goals for their own planet/s.

The Star Soldiers that fought for Terra remained on the planet after the humans arrived and switched their buildings, training knowledge and assets towards helping and developing humanity. Since then the fighting type of Star Soldiers is much less needed and emphasized on however for the humans it became a high honor to be trained as and have their biology redesigned to create a new and stronger Star Soldier.

Execution

One cannot simply go ahead and ask to become a Star Soldier,

The procedure starts off after a former one notices someone's potential and approaches them (which can take time) to speak to them and propose that the target becomes a Star Soldier. Should the targeted decline they are free to leave and not be bothered again. Should they agree however the next step can come into play.

A small group of former Stars would take the human (most often human. There has been a few cases of other species being accepted as Stars but the majority is of human kind) to a training field and test the physical - and magical, if present - abilities of the person.

If the person passes all the tests they'd be left to rest and then brought to the respective Royalty (currently Terra is under the combined watch of three Celestial Royalties who are united against the literal "black sheep" of the family who wants to take it over) and questioned by Them. Should the Royalty agree to the person joining the ranks They'd send them to the "Rebuilding Hall" where with technology that barely anyone's seen the human gets turned into a human/gem hybrid (sometimes there might be more than one gem within one human, it depends on how strong he or she or they are. )

Should the target survive the procedure they are then invited to a Star Prom - where all Stars from the Royalty's Court gather to witness a demonstration fight between the new Star-to-be and the Royalty's right-hand-helper. When the human-star wins they get officially knighted as an Honorary Star by the Royalty. From that moment on they can expect to be sent around all corners of the unknown cosmos to fend off Stars that are trying to claim planets for foe Royalties.
