Cattow

Some dog-people's reason to not be cat-people is that "cats do whatever they want, make a mess and don't care about you. Well. Imagine having cat problems without having a cat at home. Broken glasses, overturned lamps, scratched furniture, shredded carpet, toilet paper unrolled, mysterious hairballs in shoes, pockets and even the hardest to reach places. I present to you some people's worst nightmare: CATTOW. The shadow cat that will make itself at home in your home, create the biggest mess you can imagine, deplete any milk, fish or blue foods you might have in your pantry and then disappear into the smallest corners of your surroundings.
Cattow are mischievous cousins to the house cat, created from magic, which some decide to actually adopt and keep  - as this is possible - as pets instead of a real cat. Shadow cats are smaller and a good pet choice for anyone allergic. Be warned though: it can never get rid of its mischievousness. As a shadow it can walk in light and in sunlight but can thrive in the night.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

The Cattows do not reproduce biologically. They are the reason why families of magical creatures do not punish their children by sending them to stand in the corner if & when they've been naughty.
]It's because if they do that - the child will not stop being naughty from a few minutes in a corner but the child will block any light of reaching the corner. And create a shadow. And from that shadow, taking the child's magic essence and bad ideas, a new Cattow emerges. This newly created Cattow will stay and for a while, hide while the kid is there and obscures the corner, and wait for the perfect moment to sneak away and cause some damage.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Cattows are - before anything else - magic beings, born from magic to create chaos. Their perception aids them in locating the best shadowy places to use as hiding - even the tiniest lack of sun or even a person's own shadow would work. They use their long tails almost like antennae for different types of energy and when they attract to what they want - they go to that pace and create havoc.
