Borugham Citadel (Boh-ruh-gam)

The Capital of the Gods in their time and home of Odar before Godric Kador, Lord of Oppression claimed it as his own. An impenetrable fortress, its tall adamantine walls stand as a reminder to any intruder that they will not survive inside. Its fortifications are immense and state of the art with long range weaponry and close range defences for any unlucky enough to reach it that far. There is only one main gate which is only ever opened for Godric's war parties. Although not as illustrious as Herward's Daffield Palace and not as secret as Wulfwen's Redmont Keep, it is nevertheless the most effective of them all at striking fear into Godric's enemies and it can back it up with sheer power.

Alterations

The castle was once shimmering gold, reflecting the vanity of Odar, but Godric had the gold replaced with the more practical metal adamantine. This also reflects its current leader: brutally effective.

Architecture

Tall, spiked towers adorn the wall that surrounds the citadel. The gate is tall and wide, too heavy to open by normal means and made of solid adamantine. The citadel itself is tall and angular with smaller towers surrounding it. No unnecessary decorations can be seen on Godric's home as  they are a waste of time and resources.

Defenses

Oversized crossbows that propel deadly spears are lined along the battlements to pick off any approaching attackers. The walls are completely vertical and impossible to climb. Infantry units are always on standby to destroy any who somehow enter the castle. A deep, empty moat lines the entire building with only one way across, that being the main bridge to the gate. Molten lava can be poured into the moat to erase those who may have survived the fall.
