Some examples are hjovimi, a deer and mushroom sauce dish, villsaup, a boar stew, and joriau, which is pickled trout in cream.   The culture is also very involved with the concept of the moon.

Shared customary codes and values

Loyalty is prized the most. In a tribe-like society in a harsh environment, surrounded by enemies, clan loyalty and loyalty to your fellow citizen is extremely important here. Since they are wolves, the entire society functions like a pack.

Average technological level

They have learned how to harness steam to run machines. They have iron steam-powered horses called veramaisu, which they use to pull carriages with passangers and/or goods. They also have oil lamps.

Common Etiquette rules

Howl in greeting. Children should only howl when howled to.

Art & Architecture

The architecture is very angular and sleek, made of silver and iron. Silver and the moon are the symbols of the Lupulv, so most of the architecture is a bluish or silvery color. The moon is a very common motif in the art and architecture, as well as many religious figures.

Common Myths and Legends

The majority of the population follows the folk religion of the tribe, which is made up of a polydeistic hierarchy of gods, demigods, and spirits.
  • Lupus (known as Lup-alph) is the head god and creator of the Lupulv tribe, who also had some role in the creation of the universe He is usually depicted as a large silver-and-gray wolf, but that is not confirmed.
  • Skaarsulv (or Stjernalupe) is his Beta and god of the stars, the moon, and the heavens, and created many of the constellations. According to wolf legend, he was created by Lupus after the world and the sun was created, because Lupus wanted someone to help him tend the other sphere of the universe, the Night. Skaars was given fur of stars and was told to put the moon in the sky every night and take it down every morning. He acts as a messenger to Lupus, and a guardian angel of sorts to living wolves and newly deceased souls on their way to the Sjeliminaeskilga. He is mostly depicted as a large wolf with a coat made of the night sky, and usually is shown wearing a necklace containing the DNA of the first wolf created by Lupus.
  • Zepplerkle is another major deity and is the goddess of the realms of death. She allows souls to leave their bodies and journey to the next world. She was born from the volcano Magtor Vartra, a volcano of obsidian. Zepplerkle’s fur is black, and her eyes are yellow. She came to Lupus and challenged him to a duel for ownership of the world. He consented, so they fought. Lupus prevailed, but asked her to rule at his side as a god, to rule the Sjeliminaeskilga.
  • Mulihunn was first wolf created, a female, depicted as a dashing silver wolf. Legend states she is the first known ancestor of the gray wolves
  • Virhan was the second wolf created, a male, depicted as a handsome gray-and-white wolf. Legend states he is the first known ancestor of the gray wolves
  • Rødann was the first red wolf, a male. Rødann and Rufunilig are the first ancestors of red wolves
  • Rufunilig, second red wolf, a female
  • Robyn is the first half-red-half-gray wolf, whose birth united the warring species. She’s the daughter of Greyvik and Hunnsis (Hunnsis is descended from Mulihunn and Virhan, Greyvik is descended from Rødann and Rufunilig). Robyn is depicted as a red-and-white female. She is the first half-breed wolf, and spawns the new generation of Lupulv. She is the founder of Sterling City, for at that time, the two families of wolves, red and gray, had been living apart in seperate tribes, fighting each other for food and territory, living in caves and hollows. Robyn became a favorite of Lupus, who turned her into a god at the time of her death. She lives forever as Lupus’s champion

Historical figures

  • Alpha Tåcrimatten - the Alpha of the Lupulv from 1974-1991. He led an attempted genocide against the Diimkut, starting a war that cost countless Lupulv and Diimkut lives
  • Alpha Argentum - the son of Tåcrimatten and the current Alpha of the Lupulv. He has worked tirelessly to mend the rift between the Lupulv and the Diimkut, but these wounds run too deep

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

Argentum or silver fur with a little bit of gold is the most prized coat of fur. A Lupsang, a wolf with argentum fur and golden eyes, are the ideal form of beauty.

Gender Ideals

Males have tended to look down upon females, even though they are equal in size and strength, and many great female rulers have existed throughout the ages. There is a big domestic abuse issue, with male aggression leading to bloody brawls. Things have improved throughout time, but much work must be done.
