TUSKORR (tusk-orr)

Tsukorr is a large bosvi creature that is found in the northern plains of the land of Sarton, while also being found near the borders between the Sarton Kingdom & the Pharas Tribe. Tsukorrs are large cloven-hooved beasts with large tusks that protude from the sides of their faces in a curving upward fashion, earning them their name. They are reown for being very strong beasts and able to fend off most predators. The Sarton Kingdom uses the Tsukorr as the official symbol of their nation, with the beast featured on every royal standard.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Tsukorrs are broad and muscular with shaggy coats of long hair. Adult Tsukorrs can grow up to 6’6” inches in height, while in length they grow to 12 feet. Tuskorrs can gain weigh up to 2.300 lbs. Their long tusks can grow up to 7 feet in length.

Genetics and Reproduction

Female Tsukorrs typically reproduce after 20 years of age, and can continue upwards of 40 years of age. Female Tuskorrs produce calves each year so long as their health is sufficient. However, once they reach 40 years they cease reproducing altogether. Tuskorr calves tend to have slightly varied weight after birth, with heavier female Tuskorrs producing heavier calves.

Ecology and Habitats

Tsukorrs tend to live in valleys, near rivers, and on open plains where their food is commonly found. They can also be found in lightly wooded areas as well. Sometimes, Tuskorrs can be found areas with high grounds such as hills or mountainous areas.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Tsukorrs consume a large variety of plants in their diet such as woody plants, willows, rich grasses, and even wild wheats. Tuskorrs are known to migrate to maintain their diet, nad have been observed eating leaves from low-hanging trees.

Due to its status are the national symbol of the kingdom, the Tsukorr are considered a protected species. While they may be hunted, anyone found breaking the hunting laws for poaching reasons will face heavy punishment.
