DRACENHOLD TRIBE (dracen-hold)
OVERVIEW
The Dracenhold tribe, or simply Dracenholders, are a Sigvill tribe that resides in the lands of Dracenhold. They are known for their founding being connected to the nesting place of a great dragon. They are currently under the vassalship to the Kingdom of Sarton, due to a war that was waged against their tribe in the past. The Dracenholders are known among the other Sigvills for their prowess in battle, their reverence for their draconian past, and their disdain for outsiders.

Culture and cultural heritage
Dracenholders share common cultural traits among Sigvills, yet they do have noticeable differences from other Sigvills. They have some of the long-lasting settlements among the Sigvills, as these once-temporary villages turned into permanent cities. They do maintain some degree of their nomadic ways, but only for their raids against other settlements.
Marriages do exist among the Dracenholders, yet some of these marriages tend to be rather forceful if both man and woman have an contention. Concubines are premitted among Dracenholders, which is virtually non-existent among other Sigvill tribes with only the Blackwellers sharing in this practice.
Literacy among the Dracenholders is found among their mages, merchants, leaders, and some Dracenholders. Most Dracenholders do not put much emphasis on the ability to read and write, expecting the notable members of Dracenholder society to handle matters of literacy.
Dracenholders are infamous for their willingness to commit suicide when faced with being captured by the enemy, far more so than other Sigvill tribes. In past battles, their opponents have recorded cases where Dracenholders facing defeat would literally kill their comrades upon request, then kill themselves should they have enough time to do so. This has led to the reputation of Dracenholders being viewed as monomaniacal in their behavior.
Dracenholders are also quite known for their willingness to break any oath found unfavorable to them, while tending to refuse to pay any price agreed upon to the offending party. This is due to their belief that the only gods they have to answer to are the ones linked to their dragon legends, causing them to scoff at others. This has led to conflicts with other Sigvill tribes against them, leading to most refusing to entering into any oath with Dracenholders unless they have measures in place forcing them to honor such oaths.
