Geography

A massive Volcano whose sides have worn down over the many years of activity that it has formed an active Lava lake with turbulent waters and flows frequently bubbling over and edge and rushing to the ocean

Ecosystem

The things that survive around the volcano seem to be made of a rocklike substance that is organic in nature and able to resist the heat of the lava for short periods of exposure

Localized Phenomena

Lava Spouts where the air above the lava is sucked up at such a speed that it rotates in a reverse cyclone as it rises. The Lava Spouts last anywhere from a couple seconds to a half hour. when it dissipates sometimes harden magma containing Valuable gems and metals fall outside the boundaries of the volcano.

History

The first know eruption of the Heart of the world Almost wiped the Kingdom of Betfordia from the Chronicals of time. How ever was the island cooled the refuges returned to rebuild to discover a massive mountain had risen in the explosion where the capital once stood. Over the years the volcano has continued eruptions that dropped in intensity as the crater began to widen towards the lake it represents today. Betfordia quickly recovered from the setback when the Volcanic Diamonds where discovered inside the cooled magma boulders. The Only thing known in the lands or Arinethia that allows crafters to impart magical properties to items by fixing the gems to it during the crafting process.

Tourism

People who frequent the pass between the western and easter contents always make a note to stop by the crater and watch for Lava Spouts and search for Volcanic Diamonds amongst the stones.
