Thintin
Thintin is a plant beloved of the Lanar, who will often go out of their way to help it grow and propogate. It has narrow clusters of leaves on long, sideways-growing stems and is typically a greyish-green. Its flowers are pale blue and resemble those of bindweed, though much smaller.
Basic Information
Growth Rate & Stages
The plant is a low-growing biennial, which grows sideways, close to the ground in its first year and puts up taller stalks only to flower in its second year.
Ecology and Habitats
Thintin prefers heavy shade and damp soils, so is often found in the mostly densely-wooded parts of forests, especially near water or in valleys.
Additional Information
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Thintin leaves are used by the Lanar to make both tea and fermented drinks, often flavoured with mint or rose petals. The flowers are usually left alone, to ensure a supply of thintin the following year, but can be used as mild sedatives.
