The Circle of Shadows

While the very mention of the name 'Zehk' is taboo in Aresa due to the presence of Draconis and their known rivalry, this has not stopped some from worshiping him as a true God. The Circle of Shadows is the most powerful assassination organization in Aresa, as they use their services both to fund themselves and fuel their power. Drawing from Zehk, the elite members of the Circle can avoid death entirely, at the expense of their physical form and mind. Zehk allows his followers to absorb the energy of death, which leads to longevity, but without a constant stream of energy they fall into a state very similar to that of a common zombie, hence their nickname 'The Unliving'.

Assets

As an assassination group, the Circle has access to almost any place in Aresa, with a select few mages transporting their members. Additionally, they have access to Arcanium armor, a material of similar durability to steel that is easily woven into clothing, and some of the most potent poisons known.
