Evvrayular

The wyvern is a beast kin to dragons with two wings and two legs, equip with a deadly poisonous stinger and a powerful beak. There is no reason to imitate birds in flight when a more powerful beast exists, one not smart enough to realize you are copying it and kill you during construction.
The Nuvaris were mechanical geniuses, and made a deal with dragons to learn how they breathed fire. Using this information, they created enormous winged vessels which could fly by expelling fire to create hot air and cause the wings to flap and create lift. Cumbersome vehicles, many were created and fitted with ballista to destroy enemy vessels from afar, but the pilots discovered that the landing gear, with minor modifications, could be used to a much greater effect in melee combat. However, since the fall of the Nuvaris, Evvrayular have fallen into disrepair, and only three remain functional and intact, two under close gaurd by the Imperiates and one under the care of Draconis.
