Dwarf
The hardiest and halest of the ancestries, dwarves are one of the oldest ancestries of Ardunor. They, like humans, can be found all across Ardunor, though the vast majority live within the United Dwarven Kingdoms, which hold the land in the center of Ardunor. The dwarven people are very traditional and form a tight knit community. Most believe they need no outside help and the Dwarven Kingdoms should be able to thrive on its own. Of course, not every dwarf shares this perspective, which is why many have left the Kingdoms to join the rest of the world.
The Dwarven Kingdoms are formed of a number of different clans that hold power. Each of these clans typically focuses on a single trade, and relies on the other clans for the other goods and services necessary to survive. For example the Marblepass clan are the primary architects and masons of the Kingdoms, so their handiwork can be seen all across dwarven lands, However, they have very little capacity to produce food, so they rely on the other clans for that.
