Six Mile Inn

Six Mile Inn is a tavern on the outskirts of Fairhope, six miles down the main road from Dunnhaven. It sits on the opposite side of town from the Five Mile Inn and caters mostly to Fairhope locals, although there are a couple rooms for rent at the inn.
Six Mile Inn is run by Maud, a no-nonsense half-orc woman whose sister runs the Five Mile Inn across town. Most nights, Maud makes do tending bar by herself, but she has a rotating crew of part-time servers and bartenders who help out on busier nights, including Lavinia, the barmaid from the Five Mile Inn.

The Property

Six Mile Inn is a wooden building with a high, vaulted ceiling and a partial second story in the form of a loft at the back, where the inn's two guest rooms are located. The kitchen is a small extension built off the left side of the building next to the outdoor cellar entrance, and food is only served during evening mealtimes. Occasionally, the kitchen may remain open late for special events, but Six Mile Inn is primarily a drinking establishment.

Employees

Lavinia

Lavinia the barmaid is an attractive, dark-haired human in her mid-twenties. She is very charming and friendly, even flirtatious, towards new customers, but she tends to politely decline any advances from local regulars. Lavinia works most nights at the Five Mile Inn up the road, but she can sometimes be found helping out in Maud's bar. Although Lavinia is hesitant to talk about herself, patrons can learn from the locals at the bar that Lavinia lost her whole family a few years back when her abusive father murdered her mother and two sisters, apparently in a drunken rage. Since that time, Lavinia has been working for Mabel and Maud and prefers to socialize with folks from out of town, many of whom will never come back this way again.

Rolf

Maud's husband Rolf is the cook. While not a culinary wizard, Rolf prepares decent, hearty fare most nights when the kitchen is open. For those travelers choosing to stay in one of the inn's two guest rooms, Rolf will provide breakfast or other meals for a small additional fee, although these are not offered to normal patrons of the bar. When not working in the kitchen, Rolf helps to maintain the property and is also an amateur painter, a fact he largely keeps to himself. Maud inherited the property from her parents, and Rolf has been content to support his wife's business, despite some criticism from his family for not pursing an career of his own.
