The runaway Princess

Plot points/Scenes

The onle sure way to escape form the city was to leave during a storm. Fewer eyes, fewer questions, lots of noise to cover her movments. On the night of her departure Fiona wairted for the rain to begin howling ahe prayed to Alegrea that the noise of the storm would supress any sound she accedently made. When the time came at last she grabbed her pack: food, water, a bedroll from the gaurd barracks, Garments and soap of her own, a rope taken from the stable, a pot, tinder box, and knife from the kitchens, and most importantly of all her mothers crystal pendent. She made it all the way to the foyer before she saw anyone. Here she found a serving boy (named Thomas) who was asleep on a stool near a large bucket of water. The roof had been damaged by the strong winds earlier, and he had been tasked with emptying the bucket when the rain water filled it to avoid getting water on the carpet (a task he was obeovsly failing). Fiona exited the keep through a servents entrance to the kitchens. the fence outside of this entrance was easy to climb (though she did slip due to the slickness of the wet bars).     The streets of Alfitaria were nearly empty, a few drunkards singing in the rain outside the emerald tavern. As she walked towards the southern districts, the streets got quieter and more derelict.   The only gate Finoa dared to try to escape through without gaurds noticing was the southern gate. In an area where the crystals protection often falters it was too dangours to station men. Instead this small gatehouse was the home of an old moogle named Stiltzkin.
