Ypérochoi Alliance becomes and empire

The Ypérochoi Alliance had been existing peacefully for nearly six centuries when a barbarian chieftain named Tapio organized a huge horde that swept down on the alliance from the north. Several of the cities in the alliance were sacked the people killed or taken as slaves. In response the alliance leader, Narmer, formed an army to defend the alliance. The army of the alliance managed to push back the horde and Narmer slew Tapio in single combat. Narmer declared that the Ypérochoi Alliance would be an alliance no longer but was now an empire.
