Pantheon of Sagas, Organization

Rise of the Pantheon of Sagas

At the beginning of the Arcus Ocean, the Temperentian Empire ruled all of the ocean with an iron fist. However, those who resided on the Celestial Island heard the voice of Oghma condemn the Empire for its takeover of the Islands. He then gifted the residents the power to defeat the Empire. After a long war named the War of Oghma, the Empire was forced to limit it's reach. As a result, the people all over the Arcus Ocean began to praise and worship Oghma and eventually established a church around his worship named the Pantheon of Sagas. The massive temple dedicated to Oghma was built on the Celestial Island and soon became the headquarters for all Oghma worship.

Continual Reign

The church's power expanded and soon all became to know, respect, and follow the guidance of the Pantheon. Although not a necessarily a governing power, the church soon became a leading force in the Arcus Ocean and all are expected to follow its council. It has played a major role in many events in histor.

The Pantheon of Sagas Today

The Pantheon of Sagas is considered to have even more power today than do any of the three powers. All must heed the church's council. While some disagree with the church or the church's methods, respect and obedience is fully expected. Most nations who go against the church are swiftly reprimanded. However, the church still strives to be a guiding force in the Arcus Ocean and a devout worshiper of Oghma. While other islands have their own beliefs and Island deity, all are still expected to pay respect to Oghma. The current Patriarch of the Pantheon, Zophiel Bael , oversees all church operations, especially those regarding spiritual matters. His assistant, Priestess Barbara Leela, generally handles all of the churches secular matters.
