Many cities exiled the Elfen people in order to avoid future attacks by the Dro'zu.

Many cities worldwide implemented a mass exodus of Elfen-kin in order to avoid further attacks by Dro'zu. Elfen were forced to join the Dro'zu, or they were left to start new lives in the (unforgiving) wild. Some Elfen chose to live in the dangerous forests of Toh’rakkar and became hardened over time, adapting to the wilds and using dark magic to survive. These Elfen are now known as Wylderkin. Others fled far to the east, hunted by cannibalistic tribes and creatures of the night, finding themselves in the arid sands of The Crucible. There, they slowly withered away – but a few survived. Bewildered and full of hatred, they repopulated and brewed their anger over many years. These twisted fiery Elfen are now known as the Kindlekin.   This purge also resulted in the rise of the Bastion Iodin (a Wylderkin city).
