Damnation

You send a target on a quick trip to the underworld.

Cantrip

This deals one of the following effects to the target at random as they pass through the underworld briefly. Roll a d6 to determine which one, and it only inconveniences them for a second, after which they return to their original location.
  1. The target is sent into toxic miasma, taking your magic power in poison damage.
  2. The target is surrounded by the wailing dead of the abyss, losing half your Magic Power rounded up in Spirit from the horrifying assault.
  3. The target is sent to the fiery abyss, taking your magic power in fire damage.
  4. The target falls into the river of death, taking your magic power in necrotic damage.
  5. The target is sent to the frozen wastes, taking your magic power in frost damage.
  6. The target is sent to limbo, skipping their turn.

Great

The target is banished to the underworld and they need to meet or beat your original casting roll with a warding roll. On a success, they are free and may take their full turn unless they were sent to limbo. On a failure, they lose the rest of their turn and take the negative effect. They are set free the second your concentration is broken. They remain in the same location as long as they are trapped, and do not reroll effects. You can instead incorporate the cantrip version into a weapon attack.

Superior

This acts as the great version but the target does not get their turn when they break free, and they take two effects at random from the cantrip table. Multiple effects stack. Limbo has no effect, and instead forces the target to make their Warding roll at disadvantage. You can instead incorporate the great effect into a weapon attack.

Ultimate

This acts as the great version, but does not require concentration and the target takes all 6 effects listed on the cantrip table.
