Ebna'aya Yeda

The Ebna'aya Yeda is a master collection of recipes compiled by Avendyr Ar'amyn, a prolific magic user in the Age of the Drakhar. They collected Myrrhanian healing recipes over the span of 300 years, only to die by poison while researching in a remote village. The collection was finished by their apprentice and traveling companion, Myrellin Shakri.

Purpose

The Ebna'aya Yeda was created in an effort to spread the positive effects of Myrrhanian healing throughout Archaera. Avendyr was a healer that was fascinating by the different ways of incorporating herbal healing into foods and drinks.

Document Structure

Clauses

The Ebna'aya Yeda is broken down into Teas, Soups & Broths, Breads, and Miscellaneous. Teas contain anything water based that involves the steeping of fruits, herbs, or tree/bush parts. Soups & Broths contains anything considered, traditionally, to be a soup as well as anything that involves using animal-based ingredients, roots, or vegetables. Breads is a fairly small section, but it does include a fair amount of herb loaves and several filled cakes. Miscellaneous contains the truly odd things, herbal pastes and the like.

Publication Status

The Ebna'aya Yeda is accessible to the public, it is just an exceedingly rare publication. The Library has the original copy, courtesy of Myrellin, who still resides there, but a few other hand-copied volumes exist around the continent.

Historical Details

Background

Avendyr Ar'amyn encountered Myrrhanian healing for the first time when he fell sick while travelling and was healed by a Myrrhanian woman.

History

Avendyr Ar'amyn was travelling the continent for pleasure when he fell sick in Myrrhan and was settled by a local woman with herbal teas and poultices. The Ebna'aya Yeda was supposed to be the first part of a series of volumes on Myrrhanian Healing, though the others remain fragments after his death, as his apprentice and travelling companion, Myrellin Shakri, did not see it worth the risk to continue his research after his death.
