Tauron

Taurons were created by Renova. The first Tauron, Morcorn, was the favoured steed of Renova in the battle of Crimson Peaks. Renova retreated into the volcano Nabula. However, Morcorn was dying in the fire, so Renova encased him in obsidian scales and crafted wings for him to fly out of Nabula.

Anatomy

The tauron is a bull-like creature in almost all aspects, including personality. The only difference is their hard black scales and draconic wings. They are slightly bigger than most bulls.

Genetics and Reproduction

Taurons reproduce through live birth.

Growth Rate & Stages

Taurons are born fully scaled, and are able to withstand high amounts of heat. They are able to walk very shortly after they're born. However, they are not able to fly until they are a year old. Because of this, young Taurons are often found among herds during winter, at the peaks of volcanoes, though they bathe in hot springs. Once fully mature, Taurons are able to bathe in magma.

Ecology and Habitats

Taurons live near sources of extreme heat, and often bathe in pools of magma and hot springs. This means that they are almost exclusively found in the Crimson Peaks.

Dietary Needs and Habits

While Taurons mostly eat the plant life that grows at the base of the Crimson Peaks, they also eat rocks and minerals. They have reasonbly good eyesight, though not as good as birds of prey.
