The limits of Cetrobur

Cetrobur is a gel-like healing material made in Cetrary and used around most of Cetrobur. It can fix up a wide variety of ailments. However, and unfortunately, it does have its limits. When people get older, usually after the age of 60, Cetrobur seems to stop working. Instead of magically healing injuries, it leaves behind a grey satin on the skin that lasts for about a week, and it stings in an open wound, rather than soothing it. There have been some very rare cases, where Cetrobur ceased to work at an early age of 40. Usually, once this condition is diagnosed (which can be done by oneself or by a doctor) the person does not live for many years after that. Othher, less available and more expensive options have to be found for curing ailments and sicknesses, and for some reason the immune system of the person with this condition declines rapidly. It has not proved to be a contagious condition thus far.

Causes

No one knows why it happens, and extensive research projects are being conducted in Cetrary to discover why it is occuring and how to counteract. Speculated causes incluse: the thin skin that older people generally having; the immune system of their bodies not accepting the healing properties, etc.

Treatment

There is no known treatment to this, especially due to the fact that Cetrobur is generally the treatment to everything. Or nor, apparently.

Cultural Reception

People who are unreceptive to Cetrobur are classified as old, at the end of their time, weak, hopeless, and many other negative connotations. Due to the negativity around this condition, many people do not admit to it and attempt to hide it.
