Skitz

From a speech made by King Jacob in 126: "Skitz is a rare mental illness in Arburg. It is rarelly talked about, and is seen as degrading to the person and the people around them. You are diagnosed with Skitz when you start to get wild fantasies about making all kinds of changes to the world around you, and these people also tend to get extremely passionate about it and they rebel against tradtions that have been respected for hundreds of years."
Hanna Lynn had a version of this illness, but it was not publicly diagnosed.

Transmission & Vectors

"The person who has it has a deep desire to spread their ideas to anyone who will listen, and it has proved to be infectious in the past, as the ideas become rooted in other people's minds as well. So stay away from anyone with wild ideas that sound like that.(...) People infected with Skitz can also become physically violent, and can pose a threat to civilians. So just stay as far from it and discourage any behaviour of the sort."

Causes

"Usually it sprouts from a deep, repressed discontment with the way things are, which is, of course, nonsensical, as Arburg's society and way of life is one that has existed for centuries, and has slowly been perfected."

Treatment

"It has been tried before to sit down with sick people and tell them about how their ideas are just plain wrong, but unfortunately such people are often extremely passionate and cannot be stopped with common sense. If this is the case, we recommend them to our doctor, who uses special, effective treatment. I am, however, not at liberty to discuss that treatment."

Prognosis

"It begins with slight delusional speech and behaviour, often sprouting from and/or being justified with dicontentment with the way things are. It becomes more prominent as time passes, sometimes leading to violent actions and trying to persuade others to join them. Then, if not beofre, would be the best time to send them to the Palace for treatment. (...) Sometimes, the illness does not get to the point of physical violence, which of course is always the best case scenario."
