Seasons

The twelve months of the year in Arburg are:

Alexia
Isabelle
Ariya
Esmae
Keira
Karina
Belle
Sylvie
Lucia
Amira
Hanna
To find out more about why they are named this way, check out Arburg's form of religion. The year is split into five general seasons, each lasting about two to three months each. Below are short descriptions and outlines of each of the seasons:

Lonilt

Lonilt is the cold, dry season of the year. It takes place around Alexia, which makes it the shortest season of the year. It is very cold and often sees thick layers of snow and frosty windows.

Swell

This is the cold, rainy season of the year. Though not as cold as Lonilt, it still brings its share of difficulties. It is the rainiest time of year, with most of the days of Isabelle and Ariya being rainy, wet and prone to flooding.

Sherrae

This is, fortunately, the longest season of the year, lasting all the way from Esmae to Sylvie. It is the most fertile season of the year, with its temperate, warm and slightly rainy weather. Most of the planting is done at this time of year.

Zithust

The months of Amira and Lucia are filled with sunny, hot days. There is still the occasional rain, but very rarely compared to Sherrae.

Paerte

Paerte takes place over Hanna and Helena, and is the season of harvesting. It is the ending of the warm, sunny days, and the start of the colder days of Lonilt. The temperature of the days is often unpredictable, and can change drastically from one day to the other.
