Agland

Agland is an island that is found off the south western coast of Arburg. It belongs to Arburg, but no one lives there, little is known about it, and it is shrouded in mystery.
Agland, like that barren strip of earth found in The palace orchard, is an eye-sore in the eyes of the Arburgian Government. It is also seen as a source of shame, and they have offered the sorry piece of land to other lands, but no one wants to own such a pathetic island.
It is an unspoken rule that you are not allowed to go to visit or live in Agland. Some say that people who have committed the worst fathomable crimes are exiled to live there, and that when they die, their spirits live on and haunt the place. Others say that it archives Arburg's darkest secrets. But, of course, that is just speculation.

Geography

The southern half is covered in the Aglish Mountains, which are smaller that the Misty Mountains, which are found in the north of Arburg. There is one particularly large mountain, which is apart from the rest of them. It is known as Dark Crag. There is one river that runs from that peak to the ocean, and it forms a large delta by its mouth. The northern coast is extremely uneven, with many rivers running inland. Despite the numerous rivers, Agland is barren and in fertile, and made up of arid, desert-like terrain.

Fauna & Flora

The only vegetation, if it can be called that, are dead trees dotted around unevenly. Legend has it that, once upon a time, Agland was a luscious island, home to many species; plant, animals and humans alike. No one knows why it is in such a sorry state now.
No known fauna can be found there; not even fluvial life in the rivers. The rivers are allegedly polluted and murky, and unable to accomodated life. It is rumoured that there is an unknown, particularly hardy species of animal living in its mountains, but none have been seen thus far.

Natural Resources

Does tumbleweed count? Agland has virtually no resources at all, and is about as unfruitful as islands can come.
