Horseshoe Bay

Horseshoe Bay (Uisge Wêv in Serkian) is a region that encompasses the proper bay, as well as the lands that stretch south up to the tip of the Teardrop Lake. The area is actually a large peninsula formed between the two large tidal bores that reach south almost up to the Teardrop Lake. The land close to the sea is unstable for construction, but fine for traverse.   Many local tribes make their home in the central region of Uisge Wêv, but towards the south, not far from the northeastern tip of the Teardrop Lake lies the largest town in Serkia, Münn ("By the river" in Serkian). A river flows down from the mountains into the Teardrop Lake, known as Oros Mün (Black River) which serves as the town main supply of water. Münn is a rather large city and since the mid-740s AT sports the highest density of Union settlers in all of Serkia.

Geography

The north features a stony strand, but violent tides make it a non-ideal place for large vessels. Smaller vessels do, however, sometimes land there for basic repairs or to resupply food.   Both edges of the region are marked by tidal bores that meet in a point near Teardrop Lake. During high tide, a strait is formed between those bores and the actual lake. The region in between is muddy and poor for either agriculture or construction. To the south, closer to the lake, the land hardens and while still bad for grains, is good enough for construction.

Fauna & Flora

Wolves, foxes, deers, boars are most of what can be found here.   The tidal bores during certain times of the year feature salmon, but most fish are either at the Teardrop Lake or further north from the coast. Whales and killer whales can often be seen from the coast.

Natural Resources

The Teardrop Lake provides plenty of fish for local settlers. The area has no other natural resources of mention.
