Glacial Fjords
The Glacial Fjords (or Dyth Furtn as it is known in Serkian) is the region located to the eastern side of Serkia, right before the Elder Forest.
While the fjords make large settlements difficult, the ground is not as treacherous as to the west. The city of Furtnn ("By the fjords") has been established here for a long time. Buildings are spread around the fjords and the islets of the Oros Mün Delta, interconnected through bridges. Furtnn has been a quickly-growing port city since 759 AT, after a large influx of Union settlers practically took over the city, and promises to eventually become the main settlement in the region.
While nomadic tribes sometimes cross the delta, no wild settlements can be found here.
Ancient shipwrecks, bone fragments, and weapons are often found in the delta, suggesting this was the area where ancient skågjar made their landings, and where the elves stood up to them.
Geography
Most of the region is crossed by sea fjords that join with the Oros Mün delta. Islets, strands and quagmires break up the landscape.
The northern side is a rather even coast, where Furtnn is located.
The south is separated from Snowmarch by the broad delta of the Oros Mün River. It is here that it picks up sea water and sediments which give it the black colour for which it is known.
Further east, the river becomes clearer, as the forest becomes thicker.
Fauna & Flora
Mammoths, wolves, boars, oxes, wild horses and deer make up most the land fauna.
The river delta has plenty of fish on the eastern part.
Conifers grow aplenty accross the islets, together with willows and vines.
Natural Resources
The river delta makes exploitation of wood sources easy, as trunks can be transported down river. Fish and other seafood is obtained easily from the coast.
In the mud of the delta, gold nuggets can be fished out, but it's a hard job with little pay-off. Rumours of gold mines towards the Elder Forest are plentiful, but no one has managed to find them.
