Kahdim's Tear

What looks like a uniquely cut, fist sized rainbow crystal to an untrained eye, Kahdim's Tear is actually an important cultural artifact for many in Aralyon, and its origin and purpose are shrouded in mystery.   Named for its teardrop shape and the Supreme Creator in much of Aral mythology, the Tear is often kept in a guarded temple, the Temple of the Elements, in the Yontagh Forest, along with several other cultural and historical artifacts. No one knows particularly where it came from or what point in history it clearly appeared, but the legends about it tend to be consistent. The Tear has the ability to guide a person to places of power or high energy, working essentially like radar. However, no one living has seen that happen first hand, even the curators of the temple it typically resides in. Its power is supposed to be amplified when placed on its shrine, but no one knows where that shrine is supposed to be, or, if anyone does, it is kept as a very deep secret.   Before getting placed in the Temple of the Elements, the Whisperer had the Tear in their possession. With little indication of how it was supposed to do what the legends say it did, they tasked the Tribal Guardians to bring it to the temple to be hopefully protected from dark forces. Just because the forces for good didn't know how the Tear worked, didn't mean its working were unknown to everyone. In an unfortunate circumstance, however, the Tear found itself falling into the Temple's portal to Esmyria, our world, and out of the temple's corresponding side, to be discovered by a couple of young men, who had no idea what was in store for them...
