The Scar

Long believed to be ground zero of The Collapse, The Scar consists of a vast chasm in a long valley surrounding mountains. Like a gaping maw, it consumes most everything that enters it, but has been expelling a strange fog that fills the valley as of late.

Geography

Surrounded by mountains on three sides, a crack separates the massive valley. During certain times of the year, the sun can illuminate the known deeper levels of the rift, but most of these tunnels have never seen the light of day.

Fauna & Flora

In the known levels, there is ample moisture to support lichen, fungi, and moss. A new adaptation would be the Neo-newt- a herbivore that has a strong set of teeth to feed on the flora- rock and all. With the higher moisture content, there are some various predatory frogs that dwell down below. Known only as "Forget-mes", these entities have snatched many explorers- never to be seen again.

Natural Resources

Plant matter, animal meat, condensation in the middle levels, flowing water in the lower levels are all at your disposal if you're willing to risk it.
