Phoenix Temples

Structure

"Embers" are the leaders of the temple. Their name represents the humble light which strays from the fire to spread its glow beyond and onward. The flames they wish to ignite are within your heart, to know the Truth, which is that we are mere dust in the firestorm of life. Pieces of a greater whole, fuel to form the molten core of our world that which we were born of.

Mythology & Lore

This world has always been overseen by two omnipotent phoenix lords, so bright they form the suns themselves. They gave their egg, the moon, a precious treasure: the planet Apteros.
Then, when their only heir was eaten by an unfathomable darkness of another world, the phoenix lords turned their light away from their creation in a great sadness everlasting.
But life persisted in the ashes of the moon, and the lords peered back down again to find tiny embers of their child reborn as many. These are common phoenixes of today. It is prophesied that, one day, the many children of the suns will join together and return to the stars, and life on Apteros will begin anew.
