Kamerel Mirror

objects in a kamerel mirror may be farther than they appear

Kamerel artisans produce many kinds of mirrors, with several wonderful and diverse effects. So far, the technique used to create these curious devices has resisted all attempts at reverse-engineering. Then again, those in the know shouldn't be too surprised: a culture built around the manipulation of mirror-space isn't likely to have overlooked a simple issue of duplication.

Mirrors

Scry Mirror. The most common mirror, and the type most folk are likely to mean, if they casually mention a kamerel mirror. These mirrors can be paired with a distant reflective surface, ranging from 10 to 200 miles away, depending on the skill of the mirror's creator. The user must know the exact location of the paired surface for the effect to work properly. When the user has finished gazing through the mirror, it shatters. A good mirror has a shelf-life of at least an eon, but an expertly crafted mirror might last for 300 eons.

Transport Mirror. One half of a pair of mirrors used to transport an object by pushing it past the surface of the first mirror (a 2x2 foot square), and transferring it out of the surface of the second mirror. The two mirrors must have been fashioned by the same maker, and won't work if separated more than 10 - 200 miles apart, depending on the combined quality of the mirrors. After use, both mirrors shatter.

Miniaturizing Mirror. This mirror works similarly to a Transport Mirror, but first shrinks down whatever touches its surface to as low as 60% of its original size before attempting to transport it. The effect may reach as low as 20% of the object's original size if 2 Miniaturizing Mirrors are used in the transport.

Spacial Mirror. This mirror creates at most a 20 ft. cube of space behind the surface of a mirror. If two mirrors made by the same creator are placed so that they face each other, an infinite amount of space is created. These mirrors can last indefinitely so long as they are not damaged.

Accessories

Extension Disk. This disk consists of two mirrors facing each other on the inside. When paired to an Extension Disk, a Scry Mirror can reach a target reflective surface across any distance.

Shatter Box. This box is transparent and shatterproof. When a mirror is placed within it, that mirror's effects can still be used. If the mirror shatters, all the shards remain within the box and can be easily disposed of.
