Lower Strollid

The most dangerous sector of Strollid, Lower Strollid is home to some of the poorest and downtrodden population in the nation. Bordering the Storm Lands constantly puts the inhabitants of this sector in harms way. Citizens often find their family or friends disappearing without a trace and never to be seen again. Locals have taken to blaming the beasts for the vanishing acts. Hoplostalkers, known for eating anything and everything, in particular can be seen wandering around the city proper scavenging for food. Who's to say they haven't developed a taste for impoverished peoples.

When the threat of beasts lifts, the threat of gang violence and criminal activity is ever present. What little money is made is paid in taxes to the High Bloods or to the crime lords for their ever vigilant protection. To miss payment is to face retribution, the High Bloods have been known to burn down entire neighborhoods for insignificant amount of coin.

Demographics

The population consists of the poor and impoverish. Those who aren't working to pay off their indentures take to joining gangs and other criminal organizations.

Government

All the laws of Strollid are defined by the high bloods living in the gardens. All wages made in the Lower areas are taxed heavily to the point where any leftover coin is used to pay off their debt or to survive.

Defences

Brittle stone walls with rusted iron gates that no longer lower are the only thing separating Lower Strollid from the Storm Lands. A moat that has long since been dry is now filled with waste and garbage that the townsfolk use to keep potential dangers at bay. Scavengers get what they need from the ex-moat and have no need to enter the city and bother the people there.

Infrastructure

Lower Strollid consists of many dilapidated buildings. The stone and brick that once kept the apartments and homes tall are now cracked and missing and held up with loose and rotting wood. Tarps and tents line the streets as permanent shelters for these oppressed people. Collapsed buildings are dump sites for trash, the dead, and sometimes the dying.

Guilds and Factions

The YZ is a small resistance faction made up of the disenfranchised youth who want more out of life than living to pay a debt that doesn't belong to them
