Letter of Gureyna to General Kassi-eyy

To General Kassiy-Eyy   Regarding the list of potential military targets for the demonstration:
  • Attacking Moonstream is too explosive. Contains multiple religious and historical sites. Will alienate too many important political groups.
  • Attacking Hoosiyyiin is acceptable but preferable if avoided. Contains raw materials that we'd like to see undamaged.
  • Jeyiin is the ideal target. Training base and weapons manufacturer. Will land a significant blow to the enemy.
  • Please arrange for attack in early morning and ready defenses for potential counterstrikes. Expect fierce reprisals in our currently occupied territory. Alert your soldiers and tell them to not make public executions for the first 24 hours after the attack. We do not want to appear excessively cruel.   You have estimated military casualties at approximately 90,000 military professionals, 240000 civilians, and 6 data centers. Please draw up a statement to the fact within an hour of the strikes. Please get any language approved by my chief speechwriter and my chief of staff. My press secretary will take the lead on questions from the press. We can expect fierce questioning from the more humanitarian voices in the press. Emphasize the destruction of a vital military base to the enemy.   Do not expand military targets beyond Jeyiin. Serious consequences for your career for doing so. That's an order!
  • Premier Gureyna Altiin
  • EDITOR'S NOTE: This letter would be presented at Premier Altiin's trial as evidence of her awareness that General Kasiy-Eyy knew about the civilian casualties before the bombing. Premier Altiin's lawyers used the content of the letter to suggest that she did, in fact, attempt to reign in General Kasiy-Eyy.   The letter was written by hand and personally delivered to the General instead of relying on encrypted Telenet Channels. The letter was discovered in the personal belongings of an aide of Gureyna Altiin's who had gone into hiding near the end of the war. They turned it over in exchange for not receiving the death penalty.
