The Keepers

What happens if a young Animoterran's parents are eaten by a predator, or killed off by some unknown disease? Never fear! They are taken into the kind hands, er, claws, of the Keepers. Scary name to you and I, but to an orphan, nothing is better. They live on a small island, where the young are housed and schooled until they are old enough to return.

If your still skeptical, don't worry, while they don't have many young in their "village", they take excellent care of them for their time with them. When the scratchlings return to the mainland, they will be filled with the knowledge of plant and animal species, agriculture, and how to read their language.
