Omega

After the gods first emerged on the primordial matter, they formed and molded it into Langraan as we nowadays know it. With the world following laws that were causally determined and thereby understandable and possible to survive, life forms began to strive. It was in these first unrecorded years that the earth stood never still, permanently quaking and trembling under seismic tremors. It was thought to be the normal condition of this planet until the gods noticed that the trembling grew ever stronger as time passed. It was the Primordial Rgruushsh, who coincidentally stumbled upon a colossal part of some kind of creature: a 2600 ft. long, 60 ft. wide succession of deep black scales, gently pulsating from underneath emitting an ember colour slowly rupturing from a hole in the ground, winding for half a mile in the deeps of the ocean only to descend back into the earth, no head or tail of the creature in sight. Rgruushsh captivated by the monstrosity watched for days until the creature tail finally emerged from the hole and slowly followed its mainbody into the deeps of the earth; Rgruushsh estimated its size being at least 20.000 ft. long. As she prepared to return to the surface and inform the other deities of her observation she suddenly noticed an unkown presence: it was Alpha and the second time anybody had the chance to speak with it; the exact conversation is noted in the second of the six anecdotes of Alpha. Rgruushsh reported the two events she had experienced to the other gods and after lenghty and tiresome exchanges the deities unanimously decided to stop Omega, as Alpha had called the creature. As trying to simply kill it seemed impossible without risking the entirety of Langraan, it was decided to make it eternally fall asleep. Together the greater deities of Langraan performed an energy-sapping ritual and accomplished making Omega fall in eternal slumber and the tremors all over the world ceased.

/*Unbeknownst to even the gods Omega was close to attain a status far greater than that of a simple ancient Primordial: if let loose again and finally achieving its full potential Omega might become an Old One.*/
