Occultation of Abd al-Rahman VI

Metaphysical / Paranormal event

1793CE

Plans to recapture Seville crumble when the last Umayyad pretender in the Old World vanishes under mysterious circumstances.

While in Morocco, the Umayyad pretender Abd al-Rahman VI excused himself from the war planning, stepped out into the hallway, and shut the door behind him.   What is also known is that a slave reopened the door moments later, having not met Abd al-Rahman V in a hallway that had no other exit. This, too, took place in the presence of the same eyewitnesses. The building and environs were searched exhaustively but no sign of Abd al-Rahman V was ever found.
