Structure
Otrenzia has a particualr kind of monarchy where the hereditary position is the role of Queen who chooses a prince. The prince has absolute power but at his death his eldest daughter (who assumes the mother's dynastical name) becomes queen and chooses another prince .
The lower nobility's inheritance works as the Odrians tradition
In Otrenzia there are no dukes and only one Marquis.
Some baronies are controlled by the local Qhaste

History
The region of Otrenza has always been somewhat different from the rest of Odria, and has always been controlled by a duke and never directly by the King.
During the Odrian Golden Age (0-300) It was heavily colonized due to the river flowing through the region and the florid woods ready to be exploited.
Around 260 OA VilleRoy was first built as a small village. In 360 VilleRoy was the trading center of the region and became the traditional seat of power of the region
During the "Terrible Occupation"(650-690) Otrenzia was one of the main battlegrounds and VilleRoy was sacked twice before being burned down. The war had killed the duke of Otrenza and his widow demanded independence at the end of the war as reward for the loyalty during the war.
King Hudwin had to accept and the the new princedom was blessed by the Qhaste.
VilleRoy was rebuilt as a capital worthy of an independent realm and famously one of the most beautiful cities of the west
While diplomatic relations with their former masters of Odria were rebuilt and healed, relations with their other neighbors (Andogne and Perdica) were always shaky at best.
The "Eastern Troubles" is a conflict started by a series of diplomatic accidents and tensions. [see the Eastern Troubles] and Otrenza has since been more dependent from the Qhaste and odrian military support

The army of Otrenza was severely reduced after the "Eastern Troubles" and now it relies on local militias for local defense and on mercenary bands for border patrols.
