Culture
Culture and cultural heritage
The Oka dwarves have a tendency to approach the world with a more philosophical approach. Students of the world, these dwarves are more well travelled than their more stoic counterparts. These dwarves are fairly holistic and spiritual, thus they have a tendency towards the priesthoods, bureaucracy, and healer roles of Reach society. The historic precedent of mountain dwarves being the major influencers of political power Oka dwarves have a slight persecution complex. Fortunately, they are self aware enough to be aware that many across Amastris are far worse off politically than they are.
Common Etiquette rules
The dwarves as a whole are notorious for the plethora of daily rituals they partake in. Oka dwarves are no different in this regard and could find offence in even the smallest deviation from polite etiquette. However, unlike their mountain counterparts, they are more forgiving to foreigners and the ignorant.

Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Male oka dwarves often wear long thick beards which are seen as symbols of status, virility, and wisdom. This flies in contrast to the mountain dwarves who typically wear shorter, well groomed beards or moustaches. Women are tattooed on the body and face which are used to indicate status.
Gender Ideals
Much of the The Dwarven Reachs laws are derived from Oka customs. As such women and men are relatively similar compared to continental customs. Men are considered breadwinners and usually the head of the household. However, women are respected and rarely is a decision made without the nodding approval of the matriarch. Women are educators and crafters when applicable; there is no stigma or prejudice against women operating their own businesses or inheriting land and property.
