Known as the "the peoples King" Orin is the first King to be choosen by the people not by his blood.

Personal history
Orin was born in the rough fishing city of Riverbridge to a Southern Kordian nobleman and a Northern Kordian barbarian. Growing up was difficult for Orin. Some seen him as a bastard offspring. His mother Stara never liked staying in the city and would often leave for weeks at a time. His father was a wealthy boat merchant who was also away on business a lot leaving young Orin to raise himself. Though he did have a nanny, the half orc, Boombata. She taught young Orin the skills of battle. When his mother was killed by a dire bear, his father was overcome with grief and killed himself. Two years later when Orin was but 15, he joined the BrightStone army and became the youngest Griffen Rider in history. Orin became a legend during the horde Wars.
Education
Orin was blessed with a private teacher most of his life. He is very astute in the subjects of history and tactics. Boombata taught him the ways of the sword.
Employment
Orin had but one job his whole life, a solider. He joined the Kings Army at 15 and was named Sky Commander by age 20.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Durning the Horde Wars Orin became the Sky Commander of the Griffin Riders. His exploits during the war became the tales of Bards all across BrightStone. After King Irious Delfawn died without a wife or heir the people of BrightStone demanded that Orin be King. He graciously accepted the responsibility. His first act as king was to make BrightStone a democracy, where every man and woman may vote for their King every 50 years. Orin also killed a dragon at the age of 20. When he was made Sky Commander, he had a fort built on the spot he slew the dragon, Fort Ravenrock is still operational.
Mental Trauma
Orin lost both his parents at only 13. Though his parents were absent even before their deaths Orin had a close relationship with them both. When his father hung himself, young Orin found the body. The image of his father hanging from the bedroom beam still haunts him.
Intellectual Characteristics
Being a life long solider King Orin still thinks like one.
Morality & Philosophy
King Orin thinks of his people first. He strives to make the average citizen of BrightStone happy and proud. He wants to one day open up trade and relations with the barbarian tribes to the north.
