They walked into the restaurant, a little worried for what'd come. The closest thing they'd done to this was performing at restaurants and clubs, and even then they usually stayed backstage and out of the way. They didn't go out often at all. [/container]

Vicden hummed and looked around, "okay I know where we can sit doot," he gave Versie a smile then headed over to a booth in the back. He figured that they would be more comfortable away from a crowd and this was as far away from others as you can get

They nodded. They seemed to be a little nervous. "..................Alright. I suppose this won't be.. too bad." They said as they sat down in the booth. "I've never been to a restaraunt like this one."[/container]

Vicden chuckled, "doot doot di, It really is pretty quiet here, a lot of nice people," Vicden handed them a menu. "I'm glad I could show you something new though,"

"................Yes. I'm glad I had the opportunity to get to know a.... fellow musician." They said calmly. "...............And try something.. new." They nodded and looked at the menu. "......Now, what to try."[/container]

Vicden looked at another menu and hummed "di di doot sometimes I like to try the human food, it's always interesting to see what it tastes like, if it's not your style they have some good troll food as well."

".......I've only tried human food once or twice before. It's.... nice. A little odd, if I'm being honest." They said, looking at Vicden. "..........Are there any differences between beforus food and alternian food that you've noticed?"[/container]

"I'm not really sure?" Vicden admitted, "they usually dont have it listed weather its cooked by a beforian or Alternian doot" he tapped his finger on his chin "actually I wonder if human food tastes different when a troll makes it then when a human makes it,"

"...........It probably does.. I mean, seeing as there's such a cultural divide, I suppose we'd interpret the recipe differently." They said, thinking and looking at the menu.[/container]

"and substiutiutions and that, doot," Vicden hummed and looked over his menu, he decided what he wanted and a waiter walked over to take their orders. Vicden told them what he wanted and then looked to Versie

"...............Yes. a very interesting thing it is to ponder, I think." They said and looked through the menu again, eventually ordering. They didn't make eye contact with the waiter as they did so.[/container]

The waiter nodded at both of the trolls orders before rushing off to get the information to the cooks. Vicden set his menu away, before he looked at Versie. He tapped his foot pondering what he should say now, "So Versie, do you have any upcoming shows doot?"

They seemed to perk up at the question, and smiled. "..................Oh. yes. I do! In about a week down at the theatre. I'll be performing several peices on the organ." The blueblood seemed most comfortable talking about music.[/container]

Vicden smiled and clapped his hands together, "I definitely need to come watch! Doot, I have such a packed squedual though," he frowned and tapped his finger on the table trying to remember dates, "Gosh I don't think I have anything for once"

they smiled. "..........Oh, I'll be sure to keep a seat open for you. Or how about a box?" They thought about it for a second. "..........Which would you prefer?"[/container]

"Ah you don't have to save a whole box for me, just a seat is even amazing thank you doot di!" he gave a wide smile to his fellow musician, excited to see them play. An organ performance was always amazing to watch

They nodded, smiling. "........I'll get you one of the best seats in the house, then. You can bet on it." They said. "......... ..I'll be performing some of my more recent compositions, actually."[/container]

Vicden chuckled "thank you so much, and have you ever played them on stage or are they new new? doot" He asked curiously.

they smiled. "................They're entirely new! I'm excited for how people will react to them. Actually, I'm rather nervous, but that's.. typical, I suppose."[/container]

"Dooot di, I mean playing new stuff up on stage can always be nerve wracking, but I'm sure they'll love it! the audiance I mean." He gave them a smile leaning against the bar.

the blueblood nodded. ".................I suppose that makes sense. I'm.... sure they will." He said, hesitating quite a bit. ".....What about you? Do you have any performances coming up?"[/container]

Vicden thought for a moment, "uhmmm, lets see doot" He tapped his foot trying to remember "I have one in two days and another two days after that" Yeah those two were classical, of course he had rock shows but he wasn't going to say anything about those ones.

They smiled. "........Oh! I'll be sure to book tickets." The composer said. "....I'm always happy to support a fellow musician. Which instruments will you be playing?"[/container]

"My violin, normally it is that unless I am playing accompaniment for someone, doot" Vicden chuckled,

".........Ah! I can't wait to hear it. You're one of the most skilled violinists I've met, I must admit." They smiled. The blueblood seemed enthusiastic about Vicden's performance.[/container]

"Oh wow really doot" Vicden blushed a bit, "that is so kind of you to say that I'm glad you think so"

they grinned. "..........It's quite true! Perhaps we can have a duet some time." They tapped their fingers on the table in a rhythmic pattern.[/container]

Vicden clapped, "Oh my godness that sounds so fun, doot" He smiled and gave a small chuckle "I haven't played a duet in what feels like forever." Of course that was sort of a lie since he had been playing in a band, but that wasn't a duet.
"We could move mountains with our talent, di doot!" He chuckled, still tapping his fingers. He nodded his head and hummed "dooot do you have trollian? If so we should exchange handles,"

"....................Oh, yes! I do. But I don't use it very often. I'm sorry if I go unresponsive." They took out their phone. It was a little cracked, and had a regular, indigo blue phone case. ".........Er, I'm... FoolishGentleman."[/container]

Vicden nodded and added himself into their list, he then handed the phone back and smiled. "That's alright I just figured that it would be a good way to keep in touch haha"

"Ah... sounds like a plan." They smiled. They didn't get online often and had very few contacts, but it seemed like they would at least try.[/container]

The waiter brought their food over and Vicden thanked them as they set the plates down. He looked at Versie, "Doot doot, looks really good!"

Versie smiled. ".............Yes, it does. I haven't eaten something like this before." Versie preferred to stay in their comfort zone, eating the same few foods and preferring not to change.[/container] Kiwi the lone single father02/12/2021 Vicden gave them a smile before beginning to eat it, it was in fact really good. After swollowing a bite he dabbed at his face with a napkin, "this is very good I was right" he chuckled[/container] Versie grinned. "....................................It is nice, I suppose. It's nice to try new things, i guess." They were a little nervous still, tapping their foot underneath the table.[/container]

"Its alright I understand how your feeling doot" Vicden hummed and tapped his fingers on the table as he ate "take your time no rush"

Versie sighed and smiled. "...............No need to worry about me. It's actually quite nice."[/container]

He chuckled and nodded continuing to eat. He was glad Versue was enjoying themselves and glad the anxiety seemed to subside a bit.

Versie finished quickly, and looked up at Vicden. "............................That was rather nice. thank you for taking me out to eat. I've never been out before."[/container]

"Of course! Doot" he smiled happily his food finished as well. "I'm so glad you enjoyed this I had a great time as well"

They sighed softly. did they really just make a friend, just like that? They grinned. "................Yes, it was wonderful." [/container]

Vicden set money on the table "well I have kept you a while and we should probobly both head home now, thank you for spending time with me it was lovely," he stood up

Versie smiled. "......Yes, it was.. nice. Thank you for this." They said, quickly standing up. Although they were admittedly having a fine time, they were getting a little nervous again. They'd be glad to get home.[/container]

Vicden nodded, "I'll see you at you're show and thank you for hanging out," He gave them a happy wave and left the restaurant to head back to his hive.
