Faehnall, The Known World
A land as beautiful as it is rich.
"To ask me to describe Faehnall's landscape is like asking me to describe Kasrow Nightingale's rendition of the Moonlight Serenade. Its beauty is unmatched and there are no words to describe all of its intricacies. Faehnall is the centre of all life and it is of no surprise that virtually all who come here, stay here."

Geography
The continent of Faehnall is beautiful in every manner. After the Elemental Shift and the eruption of Mount Khairn, the landscape of Faehnall changed drastically, and to many of its inhabitants, for the better. The land is rich in all manner of resources and it houses every environment imaginable. Every race has a place on Faehnall and the wildlife is sprawling. With its rich access to water, forests and minerals, Faehnall is the richest continent in all of Alvara.
Sandhaven Desert
Northern Faehnall is composed mostly of desert as the Sandhaven Desert stretches from coast to coast. Unlike the rest of Faehnall, the weather in the desert stays roughly the same throughout the year; it is hot, humid and experiences little rain. Due to the severe heat in the area, most inhabitants of Faehnall prefer to stay south of the border. Anything above the Axbury Ridge and the Candlepass Valley is considered to be a part of the Kingdom of Sandhaven. Also known as "The Lawless City," the Kingdom is known for its numerous bandit activities and its tendency to accept outlaws. The desert is mostly composed of plains where sand and hills stretch for as far as the eye can see. Most of the resources available in the area comes from its few rivers and an area known as the Red Sands. In the Red Sounds is a massive rock formation known as Gaia Rock. At the moment, Gaia Rock is only known deposit of a rare mineral called Amberite. Thanks to this rare mineral, the Kingdom of Sandhaven is quite rich and deals a lot with the other capitals.Nations of Azengarde
To the south of the Sandhaven Desert and stretching across the west coast of Faehnall are the Nations of Azengarde. The region is composed around three capital cities: Axbury, Baramunzy and Tirastar. The three cities are major trading partners and they claim all of the west coast up to the Mistwind Mountains; inland, their influence ends just past Darkfall Lake. There are forests, mountains and fresh water aplenty all over the coast. In addition, the three cities have sworn to protect each other in times of war.Region of Khairn
On the east coast, just opposite of Azengarde, is the Region of Khairn, also known as the Desolate Valley. After the eruption of Mount Khairn during the The Elemental Shift, the region surrounding the mountain has been struggling to return to its former glory. The region is mostly composed of ash and snow, but various areas have started to sprout greens again. The weather in the area is also largely influenced by the presence of the nearby mountain, Snowhaven. Snowhaven is the tallest mountain in all of Alvara, stretching up into the sky at a whopping height of 10,425m. Followers of Nahlia claim the mountain to be sacred and they use it as a shrine to their Goddess. At the foot of Snowhaven is the capital, New Khairn City, also known as the "City of New Beginnings."Winterbloom
The city of Winterbloom lies on the southern coast of Faehnall. It is also known as the City of Magic and it boasts the largest population in all of Faehnall. It is a major trading capital and citizens from all over the world come to attend Mirghor Academy, the world's premiere school of magic. Winterbloom is the only place in Alvara that sees snow all year round and it has access to plenty of resources being near the Elemental Wilds. The Blighted Deathlands
To the southeast corner of Faehnall lies the dreaded Blighted Deathlands. The land is filled with undeath as blight spreads throughout the soil and very few forms of life can grow. Regardless of its hostile and dreadful environment, the land is filled with valuable resources and its Crystal Fields are known to be filled with Alvara's most valuable resource, Diamond Dust. The nearby capital of Neverlight is, as its name suggests, perpetually dark. Many adventurers and mercenaries find their way to Neverlight in hopes of gaining employment as there is a constant need for new guards in the area. Those who wish to mine for Diamond Dust must make their way to Crystium, also known as the "City of Riches".Other Areas
Faehnall has many other unexplored and dangerous areas as the effects of the The Elemental Shift is still being felt throughout the land. The Elemental Wilds is an unstable landscape with unknown dangers. Many who have ventured past the Mistwind Mountains have never returned, so it is rare to find anyone who would go there willingly. To the south of Winterbloom, just off the coast of the Blighted Deathlands are the Everstorm Isles. These islands suffer from severe thunderstorms at a constant and are also largely unexplored. Finally, to the north of Khairn is the Blackmist Jungle where all forms of life coexist. The jungle is deep, dark and inexplicably dangerous to all those who are unprepared.Maps
