Cloaking
Too Wyrd Quote
Cloaking is the ability to hide oneself from others through the energy manipulation of perception.
It was just like meditation; in – mind goes blank, out – I'm not here. Over and over; in – mind goes blank, out – I'm not here. Mind blank, not here. Mind blank, not here. Mind blank, not here.
I felt my consciousness go to the other, the place of visions and mindfulness. My awareness slipped into that place of there/not-there, where I could hear and see and smell, but as if watching a movie.

Effect
The caster removes their consciousness from the perception of others. This is not the same as disappearing or becoming invisible. The caster can still be seen by cameras, and it is nearly impossible to hide from someone looking for the caster when they know that they are there. Doubt that the caster is still present helps the spell work.
This spell is best used when the caster only might be there to the perceiver. It is broken by emotions piercing through the mental sheild that the caster has to put up, so the perceiver can do things to frighten, horrify or enrage them, which will break their concentration.
Too Wyrd Quote
I clung to my detached state, willing the darkness around me to cover me like a cloak. Not here, not here, not here. My mind cycled through the mantra, projecting the image of my physical form transforming into just another shadow behind the trash bin.
Terror clawed at the edges of my mind, a gibbering panic that tried to take control. I firmly layered more darkness around me, burying my consciousness beneath the shadows of my own mind.

Side/Secondary Effects
A caster who struggles with mental health problems may find the required mental dissociation appealing. This can create a cycle, as the dissociation makes them less likely to be noticed, which contributes to feelings of lonliness and isolation, which can exacerbate mental health issues.
Manifestation
The caster becomes hard or even impossible to see, blending in with a crowd or shadows, or simply going unnoticed.
Gestures & Ritual
There is often a mantra that accompanies a visualization technique. This varies based on what the circumstances are, and by the way the caster thinks of the spell. Some use a cloaking or covering visualization while others prefer visualizing a fading or transparency effect.
Applied Restriction
Strong emotions will break through the dissociation necessary to make the spell succeed. Spirit Perception can see through the effects most of the time, as well.

Excellent as always! I have variety of mental obfuscation in my world. I love "invisibility" that is both incredibly powerful, but have real limitations. As a game designer, I try to think of ways forwards players to feel powerful, yet force them to be creative with their abilities. And, as always, I love the dark backside of all of your magic.
Thank you!
