The Shacks

The outer-most streets of Alfeari City. Most of the homes are cobbled-together pieces of discarded wood and the inexpensive planks that the Queen provides for the people to use for free. Many fail home inspections, so the city's builder's guild makes upgrades, also paid for by the Queen.
Most long-term Shackers are alcoholics, attributed by the city nurses to physical or emotional traumas. They are cared for with the basic food, shelter and clothing guaranteed by the Queen.
