The classic The Trojan Wars as we know it. Only in the end, as it was said that the Gods took part in the conflict, and not all on the same side, the Trojan lands were destroyed by the sheer power of the Gods, to the point that Life could no longer develop, or with grand difficulties and rarity.   Following this catastrophy, the Olympians decided to retire themselves from this very plane of existence. Thus, the The Godly Departure happened.

During a feast, it was asked of Zeus to choose which goddess was the most beautiful between Athena, Aphrodite and Hera. Unwilling to suffer the vengeance of two disappointed goddess, Zeus choose to leave the choice to a human. Paris, Trojan Prince, was chosen. As Aphrodite promised him that, if he was to choose her, she would offer him the most beautiful mortal women alive. That meant Helene of Troy (for now, of Sparta. Paris immediately chose Aphrodite.   Paris kidnapped Helene. Brought her home, to Troy.   And thus the The Trojan Wars begun. It lasted 20 years. Thousands and thousands of Acheans fought against thousands of Trojans   Soldiers died and sunk into oblivion. Heroes died and achieved immortality.   Finally, thanks to the ruse of @Ulysses, Troy was defeated.   God took part in the conflict too, but we're divided and fought in both clans. And through their incommensurable powers, destroyed the city and the land.
