Skelden

The skelden are a group of people that fled their homeland of Skeldera during a time of war and religious persecution. The skelden people form a close relationship as a clan and always take care of their own.
While they have not recieved the best welcome in Aldervein. they have created a makeshift town on the edges of the Hool Marshes. Caravan carts and tents sprawl any unclaimed dry land.
Considered to be gypsies by the people of Aldervein, the Skleden have taken to a nomadic lifestlye; making coin as traders and performers. Other Skelden have take up jobs in the tri-cities, where their personality and looks seem exotic to the wealthy individuals who will hire them as personal secretaries or close servants.

Ideals

Gender Ideals

The skelden have very little gender practices, and often believe in value of individual strength. They celebrate individuality and try not to hold restrictions that would keep an individual from being who they with to be.

Courtship Ideals

The skelden people are proud of their flexible way, and this outlook extends into their ideals of courtship.

Relationship Ideals

Because of the strong connections that the skelden have within their clan, they already form close relationships with many of their people. These relationships may be built on similar personal ideals, where the pair freely share their thoughts, a friendship that looks like it could lasts lifetimes, or the relationship might be built on mutual attraction and intimacy. Either way these relationships are almost opposite to the Imperious view where most relationships are informal, and personal matters are swept under the rug.
