Session 5

General Summary

• Party arrived at Delphra and started to investigate the soul gem trade here
• Through some deductions the party identified 3 potential leads: the gnomish merchant Eldraylin, the human businessman Raylyn, and the Halfling trader Giblis
• On trying to intercept an enchanted cart from the merchant's guild of Delphra the party found that the spyglass was enchanted to be able to not only see in darkness but also can spot invisible creatures and objects.
• Eventually part of the party approached Giblis and sold their services as mercenaries, and did so successfully.
• During the journey, Caihm Sammael started talking to the driver, Max and found out that he makes and sells coffee beans.
• On the trek to the Brightfall Alliance Glute threw the driver out of the cart and Asher threw Giblis to the rest of the party following behind them.
• A fight ensued between Giblis and the party, that abruptly ended when they told informed Gibls that they were not trying to steal from him, they just wanted soul gems. This is where the party first learned of the Heralds.
• The party discovered that Giblis uses Hellfire
• The party returned to Argent where they informed charen about the events in Delphra.
• Feras Kindle received a letter from Alexis
• The party was given a chance to join a group known as the Protectorate, which they reluctantly joined.
• During downtime the party created a mimic-enhanced battlewagon, a military grade cart with a small balista attached and a section built to hold the spyglass.
• We left off with the party investigating Asher's map.
